We can help establish the relevant requirements for your property as it may be possible to convert your loft conversion under Permitted Development regulations. What are the different types of loft conversion?
There are four main types of loft conversions and the type we recommend for your property will depend on a number of factors – property style, roof height, available space, conservation area, local planning regulations, your budget and needs.

Introduction:

When we meet with you at your property, we will discuss your loft conversion options and/or home improvement requirements.

Suitability:

We will identify whether your loft is suitable to convert and, if so, will carry out an initial survey and discuss the next steps.

Loft conversion process:

We will prepare a quotation for you to review and upon acceptance, will arrange a meeting with our Architect and determine the best loft design based on the property and your needs. The next step is to apply (where necessary) for Planning Permission, Party Wall Agreements and Building Control. At Star Lofts we coordinate all the information required and once in place, will agree a date to commence your works. We will book a Prestart Meeting to introduce you to your Foreman and Project Manager, and schedule the scaffolding to be erected. Once done, materials will be ordered and the works started. Your office-based Project Manager will visit your project every week/fortnight (depending on the stage of works) and keep you informed on the progress to ensure your loft is built exactly as you are expecting.
